Golf in Puerto Rico dates back to the 1950s, when Laurance Rockefeller built a luxury resort in Dorado and hired Robert Trent Jones do design its fabled East Course. The biggest stars of the era came to play in the island and Puerto Rico fell in love with golf.

Today, we have 25 courses designed by the sport’s most legendary figures. Every course has a resident pro, instruction, and a driving range. The vast majority is open to the public.

The island’s natural topography itself is part of why playing golf in Puerto Rico is such an amazing experience. Its unique, tightly knit combination of coast, rivers, lakes, forests, valleys, and mountains, served as the perfect canvas for some of the game’s greatest course architects. You won’t find a better lineup of tropical-weather courses in the world.
