It’s Whale Watching Season!

Do as the whales do and escape the winter chill by migrating to Puerto Rico. Whale watching season starts in December and reaches its peak in February but there have been sightings as late as March. The majestic and rare Humpback whales grace Puerto Rico’s Porta del Sol region with their presence every year. Puerto Rico falls within their migratory route to the North Atlantic, where they come to relax and mate during the summer months.

There are a number of spots in the Porta del Sol region where you can come face to face with these spectacular creatures. The two most popular places are the Rincón Lighthouse and the Mona Passage. During the month of February, these graceful giants can be seen from the shore at the Rincón Lighthouse. Available boat tours will take you even closer to these impressive beings. For a truly gratifying and adventurous experience, dive tours off the coast of Mona will take you face to face with these endangered animals, literally. Swimming next to these fifty ton ocean kings is an adventure few people have had the chance to experience and Puerto Rico brings you closer than any other destination in the world.

Book your tour now to get the rare chance to view these astounding creatures.
