The World’s Best 10k began as a celebration of the 4th anniversary of the Puente Teodoro Moscoso, a bridge that connects San Juan with Isla Verde. Its original intention was to create a world-class event and not just another marathon. With help from the government, the community, the press and the sporting community, the 10 kilometer race known as the World’s Best 10k was officially born in 1998.
What started as a local event, with 1,000 participants in its initial run, has become a worldwide phenomenon with over 14,000 runners from all over the world in its last edition. The World’s Best 10k is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Road Races and by the International Amateur Athletic Federation, as well as being ranked amongst the 20 most competitive races in the world.
The 2011 edition of the World’s Best 10K will take place on February 27, are you ready for it?
