The Puerto Rico Open is a professional golf tournament that was played for the first time on the PGA Tour from March 20 to March 23, 2008. Since then it has become Puerto Rico’s premier golf event, attracting professional players and golf aficionados from around the globe.
The tournament is held at the Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico, a luxury hotel on the eastern coast that has the only 36-hole course in Puerto Rico. Beautiful El Yunque and ocean views, the Tom Kite-designed course and the hefty $3.5 million purse, are just part of what sets the Puerto Rico Open apart from other PGA events.
