Taste of Rum

What would the Rum Capital of the World be without a rum festival? Taste of Rum is a festival dedicated to promoting high-end Puerto Rican rums to the world. The event is divided into two very different activities. The International Rum Competition, not open to the general public, is a competition in which rums from around the world compete for the coveted Best White, Gold and Premium Gold Rums award.

Then there’s the Rum Festival, which fortunately for the lucky ones who get to attend, is open to the general public. The Paseo La Princesa, in Old San Juan, is overtaken by live music, dancing and over 40 mouthwatering restaurants and rums for the delight of the attendees. All in all, Taste of Rum is a celebration of rum and culinary excellence.

The 2011 edition of Taste of Rum will be held from March 19 to the 20th, so start preparing your taste buds for a barrage of flavor, brought to you by the Rum Capital of the World!
